Services and Programs

Community Adolescent Rehabilitation Effort (C.A.R.E.) For Change, Inc. is a certified community based not-for-profit agency providing services in Oklahoma for over 25 years. Services are provided free of charge to those that qualify.

Family Counseling:
A face-to-face therapeutic session with family members/couples conducted in accordance with a documented treatment plan focusing on treating family/marital problems and goals. Service shall be available to individuals with psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems. This service may be provided with the client present or without the client present as determined by the clinician’s assessment and client’s agreement

Group Counseling:
A face-to-face therapeutic session with a group of individuals conducted in accordance with a documented treatment plan focusing on treating his/her predetermined problem. Service shall be available to individuals with psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems.

Drug and Alcohol Assessments:
A face-to-face formal evaluation to establish problem identification, clinical diagnosis, or diagnostic impression. An evaluation shall include an interview with the client and family, if deemed appropriate; may also include psychological testing, scaling of the severity of each problem identified for treatment; and /or pertinent collaborative information. The evaluation will determine an appropriate course of assistance which will be reflected in the treatment plan.

Case Management:
These services will assist in the client treatment recovery continuum. Case managers will provide the client a single point of contact for multiple health and social services; Advocate for the client; and Assist the client with needs generally thought to be outside the realm of substance abuse treatment.

Referrals:
A formal process of evaluation or review of the presenting problems of an individual, which results in the referral of the individual to relevant service resources.

Community Outreach Awareness:
A face-to-face group setting directed toward identifying potential clients or persons who are at risk; explaining possible symptoms and behaviors; and explaining available service options and other actions to aid recovery/rehabilitation.

Drug Testing:
A drug screen is a method of testing for the use of drugs by clients in substance abuse treatment. It must be qualitative and test for multiple drug classes, and will include Urine Analysis (U.A.’s). U. A.’s can be administered if indicated by the clinical interview or assessments administered to the clients and/or if referral agency provides a written request. Appropriate documentation is required.

Programs

Adolescent Program:
Designed to provide intensive and extended substance abuse services to adolescents (ages 0 - 18) and his/her family. This program focuses on issues and problems related to the adolescent's abuse/dependence of both drugs and alcohol. The curriculum includes: anger management, socialization, decision-making, and values and problem solving skills in relationship to substance abuse.

Probation and Parole Program:
Designed to provide substance abuse assessments and group counseling services to individuals 18 years of age and older currently on probation and parole with the Department of Corrections. All individuals referred to this program by his/her Probation/Parole officer are assessed to determine the extent of his/her substance abuse and treatment services needed. Length of treatment recommended is based on the individualized client assessment.

TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families) PROGRAM:
Designed to provide substance abuse assessments, case management and referral services to individuals 18 years of age and older participating in the DHS TANF program. All individuals referred to this program are assessed to determine either the need for substance abuse treatment and/or as well as for other service needs.
